Amazing Thailand

A mystical part of the world awaits when you visit Thailand. The scenic islands, flavorful Thai cuisine, white sandy beaches surrounded by blue waters, bustling streets and natural beauty surrounds.

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, features both old-world charm and modern convenience. On our recent visit to Bangkok our adventures included a visit to the Grand Palace, the city’s most famous landmark which is the former home of the Kings of Siam, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government. We saw the nearby Buddhist temples, including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Temple of Dawn and the reclining Buddha and used a Tuk-tuks as our form of transportation, making it a fun and distinct way to see the city.

In Bangkok, the Banyan Tree Hotel offered a vertical sanctuary for the senses with elegantly appointed rooms, first-class hospitality and a luxurious spa. Enjoying evening cocktails on the breathtaking al fresco rooftop restaurant and bar, Vertigo & Moon Bar, is a truly unique dining experience.

Our next adventure awaited us as we travelled to Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand south of Bangkok. While Samui is small enough to see in just a couple of hours by motorbike or car, the island features an incredible a variety of beaches and activities. Hard to believe but this island gem did not have any roads until the 1970’s. Today, it has developed into its own style of island paradise, retaining much of its natural beauty.

We stayed at the Four Season Koh Samui which features 70 chic, al fresco villas and private residences, each with private infinity pool, all just steps from the beach. The spa is nestled in a coconut grove with indoor/outdoor treatment areas. The entire resort is cradled in a private valley overlooking a private beach surrounded by idyllic bliss and relaxation.

The unique balance of cultural and city, nature, past, present and future makes Thailand a perfect ESCAPADITA.
