Danitza and Esteban on a Zodiac expedition

Escapadita Travel is proud to partner with Boutique Travel Advisors, experts in creating once-in-a-lifetime trips. One of the most exciting new ways to travel is through HX Expedition Cruises.

Unlike traditional cruises with casinos and water slides, HX Expedition Cruises focus on adventure, science, and discovery. Guests explore with small Zodiac boats, work with onboard scientists, and enjoy learning about nature in real time.

What Makes HX Expedition Cruises Unique?

Since 1893, Hurtigruten (now HX) has been sailing the Norwegian coast. Today, HX takes travelers to some of the world’s most remote and beautiful places. Their newest ship, the MS Fridtjof Nansen, is named after a famous explorer who led groundbreaking Arctic journeys.

Onboard, you’ll find:

  • Scandinavian design with cozy lounges and restaurants
  • A Science Center with microscopes, maps, and hands-on tools
  • Daily expeditions led by scientists and expert guides
  • A welcoming home-away-from-home atmosphere

Our HX Expedition Cruise Experience

We joined an HX Expedition Cruise starting in Vancouver aboard the MS Fridtjof Nansen. From the moment we stepped on, the ship felt warm and welcoming. The design is clean and simple, inspired by Scandinavian style.

The highlight was the Science Center, filled with microscopes, maps, and tools that made learning fun. Each day, we joined scientists and guides on small Zodiac boats to explore the Gulf and Saturna Islands. After each trip, the experts explained what we saw—whether it was ocean life, animals, or even water experiments.

What made it special was how the trip mixed adventure and learning. It wasn’t just about seeing new places—it was about understanding them. That’s what makes an HX Expedition Cruise so unique, and it’s an experience you can have too.

Where Can You Go with HX Expedition Cruises?

HX offers trips to amazing destinations around the world, including:

  • Alaska
  • Northwest Passage
  • Antarctica
  • Greenland
  • Galapagos Islands
  • Norwegian Coast

Each journey is designed to bring you close to nature, wildlife, and local culture.

What’s Included in HX Expedition Cruises?

Every cruise is all-inclusive, which means you don’t have to worry about hidden costs. Your trip includes:

  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily
