Minnesota, known as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes,” is a beautiful state in the Midwest USA. It shares a border with Canada and offers a mix of nature, culture, and fun city life. With 11,842 lakes, Minnesota has more shoreline than California, Florida, and Hawaii combined.
Our trip began in Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Twin Cities. These cities are full of art, music, shopping, and green spaces.
At Minnehaha Falls, we hiked along the trails and enjoyed the rushing waterfall. We also walked through Mill Ruins Park, where we saw views of the river and the famous Stone Arch Bridge. A stop at the Guthrie Theater let us explore its modern design and enjoy the amazing views from the “Amber Box” on the ninth floor.
A highlight of the trip was a tour of Paisley Park, the home and studio of the legendary artist Prince. We saw his instruments, costumes, and even recording spaces where his music came alive.
No trip to Minnesota is complete without visiting the Mall of America in Bloomington. It is the largest mall in the United States, with more than 500 stores. Inside, there’s even a 7-acre amusement park with roller coasters and rides. It is the size of 78 football fields!
Beyond the cities, Minnesota shines with natural beauty.

Minnesota is also known for its unique food. Try a Juicy Lucy burger, where cheese melts inside the patty. Taste local walleye fish or wild rice dishes. During the summer, the Minnesota State Fair is the place to sample new foods and enjoy live music.
