Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is built in the traditional Arts & Crafts style and is complete with its own entrance directly to Disney California Adventure Park offering guests the opportunity to enter the parks early with the Extra Magic Hour. The recently renovated rooms are spacious offering the latest technology and appointed with premium amenities. The spacious lobby incorporates elements of nature offering comfortable seating and piano entertainment next to the year-round fireplace. The renovation brings an even more upscale experience to the hotel, while staying true to its signature design style providing a relaxing stay.
As a Club-Level Guest, we were greeted at the Valet by our own personal concierge who took us directly to our room for a private check-in. Staying in a Club-Level room gave us our own concierge team as well as access to The Veranda, a concierge lounge that offers complimentary snacks and refreshments in a sophisticated space with a perfect view of the evening fireworks.

Napa Rose
Open only for dinner and under the direction of Award-Winning Chef Andrew Sutton, the Napa Rose seasonally changing menu offers California’s freshest ingredients in craftsman décor inspired by the natural beauty of the Golden State. As a starter we enjoyed Diver Scallop and Blue Shrimp, main course of Portobello Mushroom and Burrata Cheese Canneloni and Grilled Creekstone Farms Prime New York Steak finishing the meal with Dulce de Leche Cheese Cake. A unique offering is the Chef’s Table or Dessert Counter with two seating’s nightly offering personal interaction with the chef as they create personalized meals with wine pairings, choosing from the over 1,000 wines on their wine list.
After an amazing meal, we reentered California Adventure to enjoy World of Color the nighttime extravaganza featuring music, pyrotechnics, video projected on water screens, lasers and many more effects in our own reserved seating area.

VIP Tour
The following morning, waking up rested and rejuvenated, we were greeted by our VIP host in the lobby of the Grand Californian. Our personal tour guide David listened to our interests, asked some insightful questions and was able to plan an entire day of customized experiences specifically tailored to us. We set off into the park where he explained the history of the park, its rides and some of the exciting things that awaited us. Arriving at an attraction, this tour allowed us expedited access as we bypassed the queue and immediately enjoyed the experience. This benefit of the VIP Tour guaranteed us the most that Disneyland can offer in the least amount of time. As we were whisked through the park visiting all our favorites, we stopped at various Character Greetings including Mickey Mouse and Darth Vader for a personal and private interaction. With reserved seating, we had VIP viewing for World of Color, Fantasmic! and parades throughout both Disneyland and California Adventure allowing us to experience the entire park in a flawless and effortless manner.

After a fun-filled day, we stepped out into Downtown Disney. Located in the heart of the all the action, the lively promenade is home to distinctive eateries, exciting entertainment, street performers and unique shops, including the two newest offerings: Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Disney Home. Splitsville is a vintage-style bowling alley offering 20 lanes in a 2-story entertainment complex. Disney Home is the ultimate home décor shop for all things Disney including linens, kitchenware, gadgets, ornaments and much more!

A la mañana siguiente, nos levantamos descansados y rejuvenecidos para ser recibidos por nuestro anfitrión VIP en el lobby del Grand Californian. Nuestro guía personal David escuchó nuestros intereses, hizo algunas preguntas para saber sobre nuestros gustos y planificó un día completo de experiencias personales totalmente adecuadas a nosotros. Nos dirigimos al parque con una explicación previa de su historia, sus juegos y algunas de las experiencias increíbles que nos esperaban. Al llegar a alguna de las atracciones este tour nos garantizaba acceso directo al poder saltear la cola y disfrutar de manera inmediata de la diversión. Este beneficio del Tour VIP garantiza que pudimos disfrutar de más de Disneyland en el menor tiempo. Mientras recorríamos el parque visitando nuestras atracciones favoritas, nos detuvimos varias veces en diversos Character Greetings donde pudimos estar en persona con algunos personajes como Mickey Mouse y Darth Vader. Ubicado en el centro de la acción, este activo centro es el hogar de importantes lugares para comer, mucha diversión, artistas callejeros y boutiques únicas, incluyendo las dos más nuevas opciones: Splitsville Luxury Lanes y Disney Home. Splitsville está puesto al estilo de los viejos boliches, ofreciendo 20 pistas de bolos en un complejo de diversión de dos pisos, mientras que Disney Home es un negocio de ventas de lo último en decoración Disney incluyendo ropa de blanco, elementos de cocina, decoración, artefactos y mucho más!
