Hotel del Coronado.

Summer days spent at the Hotel del Coronado are a tradition for San Diegans spanning back over 129 years. Locals and tourists alike can enjoy the fun activities, beautiful views and lush amenities the hotel offers. During their Grand American Beach Vacation, they will also have programs for families, fun-seeking singles and everyone in between.

Your kids will never forget the summer night they watched a great movie with the waves crashing in the background and the stars overhead. You can also reserve a private ROAST around the bonfire with blankets to stay warm and treats to munch on. Are your kids more adventurous? The Del’s Mermaid Camp allows them to become mermaids for the day.

If you would like a mermaid experience of your own, the hotel also offers Mermaid Fitness at the Del during which you will get to wear a beautiful tail while doing water aerobics. For those who prefer to get their exercise on land, you may want to try their upbeat Beach Spin class. Follow your workout with a hard-earned meal during their Winemaker Dinner Series or The Del’s California Clambake. Adults-only activities can be found at the Sun Deck Bar & Grille where they will be hosting DJs, champagne and more.

In addition to their ongoing programs, the Del will host a few special events. Their Father’s Day Concert & BBQ will be a great way to celebrate dad and honor our veterans with great music from Gary Sinise. The fun doesn’t have to stop after the summer ends, Hotel Del will also host their Beach Polo event over Labor Day weekend which will benefit Rady Children’s Hospital.

Esteban Villanueva, Travel Advisor. I have lived in San Diego for 51 years, except for a few when I went to college and law school! My wife and I have traveled together to 58 countries. I grew up in San Diego and love to explore every corner of the County. As magazine publishers and travel advisors, we get to visit every venue, museum, restaurant, hotel and neighborhood and discover what makes it unique and exciting. I enjoy living other cultures, walking new neighborhoods, driving new journeys and eating new foods! Travel is accessible to everyone – whether driving out to a National Forest, or flying to other side of the planet, travel is the experience of exploring somewhere new, enjoying it and learning from it.
