For our trip to Napa, we arrived at Palomar Airport and drove our car directly onto the tarmac where the Citation CJ3 awaited us and staff transferred our luggage directly from our car to the plane. Our two pilots greeted us and we were ready to depart within minutes for our quick hour and half flight to Napa.
Upon landing at Napa County Airport, our rental car was on the tarmac and once again our bags were transferred directly to the car getting us on the road to the wineries with minutes. Napa Valley is considered one of the top viticultural areas in the nation with more than one hundred and forty wineries. We visited a variety of wineries including the enchanting Castello di Amorosa, the classical Beringer and the cutting edge and unexpected Raymond wineries.
After a full day of tastings, we drove to Auberge du Soleil located in an intimate hillside setting overlooking the valley. Our stay provided us with tranquility and romance. Enjoying a delightful dinner at the Restaurant at Auberge du Soleil was a memorable part of our stay.
The cuisine is inspired by the bounty of Napa Valley paired with local wines. Our room featured Mediterranean décor with French doors that opened up to endless views of Napa.
