A Family Story
Ceja Vineyards was founded by Amelia, Pedro, Armando, and Martha Ceja. The family came to the United States from Mexico and worked in the vineyards of California. With hard work and passion, they built their own winery.
Winemaker Armando Ceja made his first barrel of Cabernet Sauvignon at only 18 years old. He later studied winemaking at UC Davis and became a respected vineyard manager.
Amelia Ceja made history as the first Mexican-American woman to become president of a wine company. She has been honored with awards like Entrepreneur of the Year and Woman of the Year for her leadership and dedication.
