Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino

You’re not a tourist. You’re a resortist.

Embodied in the term “Resortist”, you begin to sense the extensive array of day-to-night experiences, dining options, entertainment, excellent customer service and complete carefree environment of a true resort. The Resortist seeks the finer things, and those are all found in the experience at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Located at the beginning of the world famous Las Vegas Strip, this 120 acre property has easy access from the airport is a complete experience. Whether you stay at the main tower with its excitement and 3,211 rooms, or steps away at THEhotel, a boutique-style, 1,117 suite resort with a separate entrance, all that this property has to offer ensures that there is never a reason to go anywhere else.

With over 20 different dining options, there is something for every mood and palate from casual to formal. Fleur by Hubert Keller is a surprising dining option. At first appearance, what appears to be a casual bistro is actually home to some of the finest dining at the resort. Featuring gourmet small plates, his signature Burger, the Top Chef winning Mac & Cheese and the World famous $5,000 Burger (and yes, they do sell them). A favorite among the Latino celebrity circuit, keep an eye out for Alejandro Saenz, Eva Longoria, Luis Miguel, Alejandro Guzman, Lucero and Joan Sebastian that all regularly dine there. Although you can order one of everything on the menu (The Feast) don’t forget to save room for desert!

Rick Moonen’s rm seafood serves the very best seafood by celebrated chef Rick Moonen. With fresh fish flown in all from all over the globe daily, this two level restaurant is a sophisticated dining experience. The upstairs is more elegant with dining room with luxury yacht inspired décor and the downstairs is more casual, with an elegant bistro feel.

Casual dining options abound as well. Border Grill is a vibrant Mexican restaurant with a casual yet elegant wooden décor with a spectacular view of Mandalay Bay Beach. Serving modern interpretations on classic Mexican dishes, fulfilling dishes are the norm.

Being Las Vegas, entertainment is world class. Being Mandalay Bay, entertainment is around every corner. Concerts, live shows, lounges, nightclubs and bars are always ready to please. Soon to be home to the permanent show of the Michael Jackson Immortal show that recently wowed San Diego audience, entertainment is king here.

Santana: Greatest Hits Live is performed regularly for the next two years at a specially reconfigured House of Blues with intimate seating and tables available allowing for an intimate concert complete with bottle of champagne and strawberries. Make sure to book early as this spectacular show with the greatest guitarist in rock history is regularly sold out. We sat backstage where Carlos shared with us his excitement for the show and some life lessons. Then Carlos donned his stage persona and showed the audience why he is a legend. The music is a performance of his hits from yesterday, today and tomorrow from Black Magic Woman and Jingo up to Corazon Espinado and Smooth from our nine Grammy award winning album Supernatural.

After an amazing concert, you can always make the night go longer in Las Vegas. One of the most romantic places to do so is at miX atop THEhotel. Drinks with a view has never been better- 64 floors above the Strip- nothing but glass walls separate you from the warm dessert nights.

After a night of entertainment, the day is just as complete with every option under the sun. The awe-inspiring Mandalay Bay Beach pool complex covers 11 acres and includes from family friendly to slightly sinful options. A large wave pool you can bodysurf, lazy river, private pools, cabanas, exclusive bungalows and a European style topless pool area, Moorea Beach Club, along with restaurants, bars and gaming make the pool a destination in and of itself.

If trying to stay out of the sun, Shark Reef Aquarium offers an educational and exhilarating voyage to an undersea experience where Komodo dragons, piranhas, stingrays and jellyfish all lead up to the major undersea enclosures including a 1.3 million tank where you are in the sunken galleon. Those who are truly adventurous (and dive certified) can dive amongst the sharks.

After all this excitement and non-stop entrainment, there is a sanctuary where all can be left behind and one can focus on total relaxation. Spa Mandalay is a world-class facility with 30,000 square feet of spa services and exercise equipment, allowing for the ultimate relaxation experience while rejuvenating the mind, body and spirit.

Mandalay Bay had the perfect ESCAPADITA in mind as they created the ultimate resort in Las Vegas. If you are reading this, you ARE a Resortist.
